PEARSON COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The voice and force of Pearson alumni and their community

About Us

Experiences may fade but
their influence endures.

It doesn’t matter if it was last year or 40 years ago. What matters is that you – and all of us who make up the PCAA – share both a common history and an experience from the time spent in the forest along the shores of Pedder Bay. This experience changed all of us; it helped make you the person you are today, no matter when it took place or what your memories and views of that experience are.

The Pearson College Alumni Association is an independent alumni organization originally founded in 1995. The re-founding of the PCAA began in earnest on 11 February 2019 in time for the College’s 45th Anniversary in 2020 which highlighted the ongoing evolution and importance of alumni connections.

All Pearson College students become members of the PCAA upon graduation. Membership in the PCAA is a continuing benefit of being a Pearson College graduate.

Our Mission

The PCAA aims to foster a continued sense of community, reflection, and shared purpose among former students, allowing them to stay connected and contribute to the life of the College long after they leave.  In service to this mission, the PCAA has identified four key objectives:

  • Provide a platform for building a strong, supportive alumni community
  • Support alumni who are living the UWC mission through active citizenship
  • Maintain connection with the mission of Pearson College
  • Promote the UWC Movement, uniting people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future
